Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, has promised to end corruption in Nigeria in the next 12 months.
Magu made this pledge during the opening of the Ibadan EFCC Zonal Office and Stakeholders Engagement Session, held in Iyagaku, Ibadan, the Oyo State capital on Thursday.
At the event, which had Oyo State Governor Abiola Ajimobi, Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi, and the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr. Abubakar Malami (SAN) in attendance, Magu said Senate’s refusal to confirm his appointment has increased his commitment to the fight against corruption.
He promised rooting out corruption in the next one year, saying, “The fight has just started and we will do it to the last. We will get them out, just give me 12 months, you will not see them again.”
