Reports from England said the police have been called in over the sex smear allegation against the England international, who was part of the national team to the just concluded Euro 2016 tournament, where he featured in the Three Lions’ draw with Slovakia.

The Sun reported that the 25-year right back, who is single, has been left shell shock after learning about the existence of the footage, which was shot in his luxury apartment.

“It’s been difficult for Nathaniel.

“He was horrified anyone would set out to stitch him up like this. He felt it was a deliberate effort to ruin his good name and reputation.

“His agents felt he had to go to the police when it became apparent he was being smeared.

“He’s a young man, devoted to his football career, on playing for Liverpool and England,” source told The Sun.
