The death of Late Deji Tinubu, the Special Adviser to Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode on Commerce and Industry is a personal loss to the immediate past governor of the state, and the Minister for Works, Power and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola.
Tinubu slumped and died on Thursday at Epe during a novelty football match at the retreat of the state executives and the governor’s aides.
However, not many are aware of the kind of relationship that existed between the ex-Lagos State Sports Council chairman and Fashola beyond the one they had in their official capacities at one time or the other.
“Deji’s wife is my ‘sister’. She is former Governor, Tunde Fashola’s younger sister. Deji’s parents loved me like their own son and made me an unofficial child of their fantastic family,” ex-international Segun Odegbami brought to light in his tribute to the deceased who is survived by his aged parents, wife, Yemisi, and three children.
The remains of the 52-year-old sports administrator will be interred on Tuesday. And according to the burial arrangement released by his family, Service of Songs would hold at RCCG, City of David, Victoria Island, Lagos on Monday , 29th January 2018 at 5.00pm where the deceased and her widow worshipped.
