King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal will embark on a world tour beginning from August 6, Wednesday fortnight.
The tour tagged ‘KI Unusual’ would see the crowd-pleasing artiste playing in four continents at extraordinary locations.
Packaged by Fuji Repete Nigeria Limited in collaboration with organisations that have like dispositions such as Hip TV, the band will leave Nigeria for United States in a fortnight’s time.
KWAM I who explained the detailed itinerary at a media parley yesterday, said the band would serenade music lovers in A-list locations in America, Europe, Asia and Africa.
“We are scheduled to thrill and excite music lovers in Mexico, Bahamas and other islands. It is a cruise, and it will see us returning to Nigeria on August 21.
“We will go back to America, move to Canada before storming Europe where we will be in England, Germany, France among others.
“We are also scheduled to play in Malaysia, Dubai and South Africa. We will be returning to Nigeria on November 21,” he told reporters.
The artiste expressed grave concern at the waning popularity of indigenous music, and said he had a plan to address the problem.
” I don’t want indigenous music to die. The Spaniards hold tenaciously to their classic music, and so many others nationals.
“Nothing can be like Apala, or Fuji or Juju. So, we have a programme tagged ‘Festival of Music’ , a talent hunt, which will encourage the emergence of artistes in these genre of music.”
