One Princess Gabriel, apparently a female friend of late Kingsley Chukwuegu, the deceased Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of Rumuolumeni in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State, who was killed in cold blood by suspected assassins on Sunday evening, said she spoke with the slain officer about four hours to his killing.
Princess took to her Facebook page to mourn the late Superintendent of Police whose life was cut short around Awaza Community in Abia State on his way back to Port Harcourt.
In the tribute accompanied the deceased’s pictures. the grieving woman wrote: “Oh my God! I can’t believe that a man (DPO) I spoke with yesterday is no more .. A man that took me to the DPO (Hassan Yahaya Mile one Police station) and ask him to give me a shop at the mile one car park and it was given to me. A shop I tried getting on my own for years but couldn’t. He(DPO) made it easy for me to get that shop.. I find it so hard to say RIP, cos I was in the station this morning with my pastor to see you… As agreed. Meet police officer Mrs Ekwem Prosper.. To know if DPO is back, and her eyes were full.. Sister what happened, why are you crying this morning? And she said DPO is dead.. Which DPO? Chukwueggukingsley@yahoo.c. That I came to see, no na! It can’t be true cos I spoke to him by 6:45 pm… She said you were shot by 9/10pm. How and why? Who killed chukwueggukingsley@yahoo.c and why? A good man, brother, father you’re to all…Jesus! Some body should tell me it’s not true…God help me God help me.. Your beautiful wife and kids! What’s gonna happen to them..oh God of vengeance arise and expose the killings and destroy them and their generation. In Jesus unchallageable name Amen. RIP KINGSLEY Chukwueggukingsley@yahoo.c. (DPO RUMUORLUMENI divisional police head quarter.”
