“We take steps to moderate and review all adverts, but we do not participate in the negotiations between buyers and sellers.

“Transactions are performed directly between both parties. In all our marketing campaign, we continuously urge our users to take necessary precautionary checks when using OLX.The-Orekoyas

“We sincerely hope that the three kids are returned safely to their loved ones. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and we will provide all help within our capacity to facilitate the quick reunion of the children with their family.
“We continue to innovate and improve our review process with tighter measures that would help to minimize future occurrence of negative incidents.
“We also need our users to help us kick out bad players and ask them to report any dubious activity or user on the site for immediate action.”

It would be recalled that eight days after the children’s abduction, the Orekoyas on Tuesday evening regained their freedom and reunited with their family after ransom was paid on them.

According to the father of the children’s mother, Senior Apostle Abraham Adekunle, the kidnappers sent an account number to the family to pay the ransom, and after it was paid they freed the children.

He said, “Yesterday (Tuesday), they called us and said we should send the money to them. They sent their account number to us. Immediately they collected the money, they called us and said they had dropped the children at Egbeda.”

Mother of the children, Mrs. Bisi Orekoya has expressed her gratitude to members of the public, her relations and friends who stood by the family during the difficult time on her facebook account.
