Kashamu denies withdrawing for Adebutu

Senator Buruji Kashamu has denied earlier report about him stepping down for rival, Ladi Adebutu, in the intractable supremacy battle for Peoples Democratic Party, PDP governorship candidate in Ogun State.

The duo are laying claim to Ogun PDP governorship flag bearer with report surfacing last week that Kasamu had shifted ground and directed his supporters to back Adebutu, a claim the senator representing Ogun East debunked in an interview with newsmen on Saturday.

He said, “I have never issued any statement that I stepped down for Adebutu. What I said was we should all join hands and work together for the victory of the party. If the court rules that Ladi is the candidate eventually, I will work for him and if the court upholds my victory, I expect him to work for me. But the most important thing is that we should all work together for the victory of the PDP.”
