Joseph Yobo, wife, conferred with chieftaincy titles in Ogoniland
Former Super Eagles captain, Joseph Yobo and his wife, ex-beauty queen, Adaeze Yobo, have been conferred with chieftaincy titles in Ogoniland.
The 35-year ex-international, who was honour on Friday with a testimonial match in which four-time former African footballer of the year, Samuel Eto’o, Jay Jay Okocha, Ahmed Musa, among other retired and active football stars played in Port Harcourt, took to his twitter handle to break the news of his latest accolades.
“Honored to be conferred the title Mene Aborlo 1 of Ogoniland by my King, HRH GNK Gininwa and people #chiefyobo,” Yobo tweeted.
Yobo, who was capped 101 times represented the Super Eagles at three FIFA World Cup and six African Cup of Nations tournament. He led the Super Eagles to win the Nations Cup in 2013 in Johannesburg, South Africa.
