Adeshina was reported by Punch to have made a spectacle of himself at the Press Gallery of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The former President of the Nigeria Guild of Editors, reportedly walked into the venue in anger and began to scream and gesticulate aggressively at Ameh.

He reportedly fired at the paper’s correspondent saying: “What was that rubbish you people wrote on Saturday? “Did you say that Mr President did not approve the statement? Let me tell you, if you want to last here, you had better be careful!”

Adeshina’s outburst followed from a statement he released sequel to presidential tribunal’s affirmation of Buhari’s election in which he said the president did not panic ahead of the judgment.

However, Buhari contradicted his spokesman when he received chieftains of the All Progressive Congress, APC, at Aso Villa.

The president disclosed that he was in panic mode and had to bury himself in attending to files to ease the tension, a revelation that prompted Punch to publish a story where it claimed Adesina’s statement was never approved by the presidency.
