Jilted JSS student commits suicide in Benue

A jilted Junior Secondary School (JSS) II student of Gyegeh Memorial College Logo1 , Makurdi, Benue State, Jessica Beer, has reportedly committed suicide.

The Nation reports that Jessica was confirmed dead at a clinic at Akpehe in Makurdi where she was rushed to after she slumped after drinking poisonous substance.

The deceased’s close friend who had an insight into the circumstances leading to Jessica killing herself told the paper that she was devastated after her boyfriend, a pork meat seller at Wurukum Market in Makurdi impregnated and abandoned her and then impregnated another girl.
