Kano State Governor, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, said it is in line to be ‘a bit selfish’ but unsavoury to be overly self-centred.

Ganduje, who was caught in viral video allegedly receiving bribe from contractor(s) in dollars, stated this on Wednesday while describing his predecessor, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, as the most selfish person he ever met.

Speaking while receiving some Peoples Democratic Party members and Kwankwasiyya Movements members, who defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress in the state, the governor said: “It is natural to be a bit selfish but I have never seen anyone as selfish as Kwankwaso. It was such that he imposed his whims and caprices on all and exploited them for his personal benefit as against the collective interest of all.

“All of us, seated here were with him in the past and we made him what he is politically but had to withdraw from his persistent self conceit.

“We have initiated reconciliations in the past but Kwankwaso is not the repentant type, it is either his bid is done or he destroys everything.”
