Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy said he gathered from his father, late Justice Chukwudifu Oputa, that the Supreme Court’s judgements are not always without blemish.
Late Oputa was judge of the apex court between 1984 to 1989.
Charly Boy spoke of the insight into the rulings of Supreme Court the deceased shared with him while leading a protest against the court’s verdict that ousted Emeka Ihedioha in Owerri on Wednesday.
He said, “We are here because of the progress of Imo, especially the youths who have people like me. The Supreme Court judges made a mistake and what we are doing here is to say there has been a miscarriage of justice. We are pleading with the justices that they should please reverse themselves on Imo.”
