Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, said he is no fan of Edo State governor, Godwin Obaseki, despite having same political affiliation.
Obaseki and Fayose are both chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, a party the governor defected to in the wake of his disqualification from seeking reelection on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
However, the ex-Ekiti governor said he is neither a fan of Obaskei nor his predecessor, Comrade Adam Oshiomhole and appealed to the Edo governor not to ditch the PDP for APC upon winning the election in a tweet he posted on his verified Twitter handle, @GovAyoFayose.
The tweet, “My position is that, for obvious reasons, I am not a fan of both Gov Obaseki and Oshiomhole. That notwithstanding, I believe that Obaseki will win, but he should honour his agreement with the PDP by not returning to APC after assuming office for the second term for flimsy excuses.”
