Onubogu was found dead four days after his family declared him missing.
Moment before his sudden disappearance, he was reportedly with his wife, and hurriedly left with his camera after receiving a phone call.

Afterwards, his family and friends became troubled after his whereabouts remained unknown and efforts to reach him on phone were futile prompting them to declare him missing.

The spokesman of the State Police Command, ASP Nkeiru Nwode, confirmed Onubogu’s death, adding that investigation into it has commenced.
