There was complete pandemonium on Monday at Idrinana Hotel, Lokoja, Kogi State, following the drowning of a young man identified as Mohammed Suberu, in the hotel’s swimming pool.

Late Suberu, who was found dead in Idrinana hotel’s swimming pool was said to be the second person to die in similar circumstance at the hotel in the last one year sparking rumour that there was more to it than meets the eye.
The hotel, which is owned by a chieftain of People Democratic Party, Hon. Haruna Paul Gowon(pictured), was attacked by hoodlums following Suberu’s death as staff and security operatives attached to the hotel ran for dear lives.
Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Kogi State Command, William Aya, said the police had already commenced investigation into Suberu’s death.
Idrinna Hotel’s owner, Hon. Paul Gowon contested for Dekina/Bassa federal constituency seat in House of Representatives under PDP’s umbrella in 2015.
