My husband is a lion – Fani-Kayode’s wife
Precious Chikwendu, wife of Femi Fani-Kayode, has described her embattled husband as a lion, adding that he will survive his on-going prosecution by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC) over alleged N1.5bn fraud.
On Monday, an Ikeja Chief Magistrate’s Court granted EFCC’s request to remand the former aviation minister for 21 days.
In apparent reaction to her husband’s detention, the former beauty queen in a statement she issued on Thursday said Fani-Kayode would be vindicated at the end of the trial.

“But this is reality, and in reality we live through it. It’s a time when strength and courage comes in play, and only the brave can afford both. My lion will walk through this webby den of lies and injustice.
“Persecution and trials are common, only the weak fear them. He remains brave and strong through all these and soon he will be vindicated. I stand with my husband Femi Fani-Kayode,” Precious Chikwendu, who gave birth to Fani-Kayode’s only son in February said.
