Husband kills wife’s lover after he caught them on matrimonial bed
The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a businessman, Ezekiel Igbokwe, for allegedly killing his wife’s lover, Victor Olatundun.
Igbokwe,32, who sells electronics, and his 28-year-old wife, Juliet(both pictured), were among several suspects, the Ogun State Police Command headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta, paraded on Thursday for various alleged crimes.
The couple lived at Peace Lodge on Itura Street, Awa Ijebu, Ijebu-North Local Government Area of Ogun State until their arrest on Thursday, July 28, after Igbokwe killed Juliet’s lover, Victor, the previous day.
The suspect had caught the deceased having sex with his wife, a mother-of-three on their matrimonial bed around 12.am on his return from a business trip on Wednesday, July 27, and was infuriated, killing Victor in fit of rage with a cutlass.
“On July 25, i travelled to Onitsha and returned home on July 27 in the midnight to meet my wife, and Victor on our matrimonial bed making love. We started fighting and he was having upper hand so i reached out for a cutlass in the toilet, and hit him with it. He died when we were rushing him to the hospital after the fuel in the car got finished,” Igbokwe explained.
Juliet, who sells snuff said the deceased was her supplier, and had pestered her for an affair, adding that she was bewitched.
She said, “I have consistently refused dating him. I didn’t tell him my husband travelled. On that fateful day, it was as if he used magic spell on me, he called me on phone to tell me he was coming from somewhere, and it was already late, and would want to sleep in our house.
“He tried having sex with me but i refused, and he gave up.”
