Husband chains wife to generator from night till morning

A man has been arrested in Ogun State over allegation that he chained his wife to their generator from dusk to dawn.

The suspect, Ifeanyi Ajaero was said to have battered his 28-year-old wife, Obiageli Ajaero, and chained her to their I Pass My Neighbour generator at their Ewooluwo Sagamu residence in Sagamu local government area of the state.

According to the state Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, the incident happened on the night of Friday 14th April till the morning of Saturday 15th April 2017.

Oyeyemi said the 37-year-old suspect, a member of disbanded merchant Navy used a handcuff to chain his victim, adding that their neighbours who had been witnessing his frequent beating of his wife alerted the police of the latest happening.
