Kazaure, representing  the Kazaure, Roni, Gwiwa and Yankwashi Federal Constituency of Jigawa State on Thursday, on the floor of the House while sharing his view on International Women’s Day celebrated yesterday worldwide cautioned men against giving women much freedom.

He said women were created to be controlled by men and allowing them to operate unfettered would spell doom for the menfolk.

Some of his words: “It is good to give women opportunities, but not too much.  If you give women the opportunity to take over this chamber, they will mess up, Mr. Speaker.

“When women go zigzag, we (men) are the ones to control them. That is why God says they should come under us. They should marry and serve under us.”

The moment was captured on camera and posted on YouTube where it has continued to rack up views and generated comments with many hitting out at Kazure and describing him as misogynist.

However, the lawmaker in the process gave hint on how to get favour from big men.

He said: When we give them(women) the opportunity Mr. Speaker, they would control us outside and in the home, they would capture everything, That is what I fear, honestly, Mr. Speaker…Most of them are very intelligent, very very intelligent; because you can see a big man (being) controlled by his wife.

“That is what I observe and experience in this life because the majority of the big people … if you need something, don’t go directly to them.

“If you want to get them… When you want to see a man and you go through the wife, you would easily get what you want.

“So, if you give them (women) more chance, right there they would overthrow us…”
