Two brothers, Rabiu Bagiwa and Ibrahim Bagiwa were on Sunday killed by unknown gunmen at Bagiwa village, in Mani Local government area of Katsina State.
The deceased were undergraduate students of Al-Qalam University, Katsina where 22-year-old old Rabiu was in 200 level and Ibrahim who was a year older, was in 400 level.
Their killers, according to multiple media reports, stormed the family house of the deceased in the wee hours around 2am, and after killing them shot their mother in the lap and abducted their elder brother.
The State police command’s spokesperson, SP Gambo Isah confirmed the incident adding that a manhunt has been launched for the gunmen.
Isah said, “The Commissioner of Police was there and has mobilize the Special Anti-robbery squad, mobile policemen and it intelligent outfit. “We are on top of the situation, we have a very good information about the perpetrators, very soon we will arrest the perpetrators.
“No cause for alarm. We will not leave any stone unturned until we make sure the perpetrators of this crime are arrested and prosecuted.”
