The Minister of Communications, Adebayo Shittu, has accused Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi of not having discharge certificate of the National Youth Service Corps.

Shitttu is in trouble after it emerged that he did not participate in the mandatory one year national service for fresh graduates.
The embattled 65-year old is facing calls to resign as minister following the discovery while his aspiration to succeed Gov. Ajimobi fell through after the All Progressive Congress refused to clear him for the party primary on the account of the scandal.
The minister who is at loggerhead with Ajimobi in an interview with Punch said, “Even Ajimobi does not have an NYSC certificate. And yet today, they have allowed him to emerge even though fraudulently as the senatorial candidate of the party for Oyo South. He does not have a certificate and the party does not ask him to produce it; the same issue I was purportedly disqualified. That is double standard.”
