Oyo State governor, Abiola Ajimobi, has denied rumour that he received $10m as bribe to make Mr. Bayo Adelabu, the governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress, emerged as the party governorship candidate in the state.
In one fell swoop, Ajimobi dismissed the rumour and that of suggestion that the national leader of the ruling APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu imposed Adedibu on the party at the flag-off of the governorship campaign rally held at the Oke Ado state party secretariat, Ibadan.
Speaking, “Before I said Adelabu would be the governor, God spoke to me. And some people said it was Tinubu who told me. Please is Tinubu living in Ibadan with us? Even if Tinubu had even told me, is it not better than Secondus, who is an Igbo man, to tell them who should be their flagbearer?”
