The incident occurred on March 29. It happened that the birthday gal’s peers were pouring water on her body to celebrate her birthday when 13-year-old Moshood, a boy, entered a shop, picked up a bottle and emptied its content on her.

Eyewitness said Moshood thought the bottle contained Izal but it turned out that it was acid.

Speaking to newsmen, Victoria said she and Moshood were good friends and his action was not due to animosity towards her.

She narrated, “I was carrying a big bucket containing water on my head when my friends started pouring the water on me to celebrate my birthday. Some were pouring dirty water on me and others sand.

“Moshood ran into a shop and brought out a container. I told him not to pour it on me because we don’t know what was in it. But as I walked past him, he poured the content on my body from behind. That was the last thing I remembered.”

Report said the acid victim has been receiving treatment at Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) while Moshood was arrested and later released.
