Unverified report claiming Buhari was coughing, one of the symptoms of the pandemic emerged after his Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, was diagnosed with the disease.

In the midst of the situation the presidency announced that the President tested negative but the announcement did not quash the rumour about him coughing, a claim the Minister of Information and Culture, Alh. Lai Mohammed on Thursday at a press briefing on COVID-19 debunked.

Mohammed: “Mr. President is well and fully in charge of the country. Some have alleged that the President is coughing, it is fake news.”
