Two-time lawmaker, Hon. Omowunmi Olatunji-Edet has denied suggestions she is having an affair with musician, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal.
Rumours have been rife that Olatunji-Edet who represents Oshodi/Isolo Constituency II in the Lagos State House of Assembly is dating the Fuji king. The pastor turned politician whose marriage to a pastor broke in 2009 told Sunday Vanguard that there was no truth to the story making the rounds.
She said, ” Unfortunately, people thought I was dating KWAM 1. Meanwhile, I never set eyes on him throughout the first three years that my marriage crashed. He has helped me, and I cannot but make him a friend. But he is not my boyfriend, husband or sugar daddy.”
The mother-of-three whose political career seems to have nosedived having lost at the just concluded primary, the ticket of All Progressive Congress said marriage is on the card.
“It is no longer news that my marriage broke up in 2009, though I hold on to the name because of the three children involved. I am going to re-marry and it will be known to the whole world,” she explained.
Meanwhile reactions have trailed Hon. Olatunji-Edet’s interview. Several commentators reacted angrily to her denial of her romance with KWAM 1 on Vanguard’s website.
Posting with the initial GE, one person said: “I live in your constituency and am ashamed of you being a pastor. You started well but as soon as you tasted the wealth in the house of assembly you rubbished your husband by abandoning him as he is also a pastor, you started dating KWAM1 everybody in this neighborhood knows about it to the extent that the poor pastor had to relocate from the area because of the shame he was being subjected to.”
