Former governor of Abia State, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu has brought to light his intimacy with Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, until recently when they are embroiled in dispute occasioned by their different political affiliations.
While Fayose has been vociferous opponent of President Muhammadu Buhari, Kalu is a supporter of the President.
The duo at the weekend had a public row after Fayose barred the former Abia governor who has been moving around the country campaigning for Buhari’s reelection from entering the State, an order, he defied.
Kalu during his visit to Ondo State while reacting to the order, went into detail of his relationship with the Ekiti governor.
He said, “My attention was called from Ondo State on Saturday that Governor Fayose said I should not come to Ekiti. Fayose is my boy. He can’t stop me from coming. He is my boy and he knows he can’t stop me on anything.
“Governor Fayose was in my house for 90 days after he was impeached. He is my friend but he has gone beyond his limit by saying a bonafide elder statesman like me should not come to Ekiti.”
