Fake peak milk powder producer arrested
One Christopher Nnabuihe has been arrested for producing and selling fake Peak Milk Powder in Calabar, the Cross Rivers State capital.
NAFDAC Coordinator in Cross River State, Dr. Isaac Kolawole, disclosed this on Monday.

Dr. Kolawole stated that Nnabuihe’s arrest followed complaints lodged with the agency by consumers over fake Peak Milk Powder circulating in the market.
He said undercover investigation revealed that 56-year-old Nnabuihe was behind the counterfeiting, and he was arrested while making supplies to stores.
Admitting to the crime in a confessional statement, Nnabuihe said, “one 50kg of the milk will fill 27 pieces (two cartons and three pieces three pieces) and I sells one carton of the fake peak milk at N6000 and make a profit of N1,000 per carton.”
