The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission sparked outrage on Sunday after the anti-graft agency tweeted that it is set to prosecute outgoing Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose on completion of his tenure.
“The parri (party) is over; the cloak of immunity torn apart and the staff broken.
“Ekiti Integrated Poultry Project/Biological concepts Limited N1.3bn fraud case file dusted off the shelves. See you soon,” the tweet read.
It however, sparked fury as many commentators hit out at the antigraft agency accusing it of unprofessionalism and taking side with the ruling All Progressive Congress.
The barrage of condemnation that trailed the tweet got to the EFCC, prompting it to delete the post.
