Her abductor, Yunusa, is currently in prison custody having failed to fulfill the bail conditions slammed on him by a federal high Court sitting in Yenagoa, where he is facing a five-count charge of kidnapping, unlawful carnal knowledge and sexual exploitation of a minor.

It will be recalled that Ese, a Junior Secondary School student living with her parents in Bayelsa was allegedly abducted last August by Yunusa, and was taken to Kano where she was converted to lslam and married without her parents’ consent.

“Yes, my daughter gave birth in the morning around a quarter past 10. The mother and the child are well. She gave birth to herself. We are very happy that she gave birth safely,’’ the teenage mother’s father, Charles Oruru told newsmen.
