Eidris’ arrest was at the behest of his landlord, Oladipo Abimbola, who filed a complaint against him, accusing the Nigeria Jaga Jaga crooner of assaulting him, The Nation reports.

Abimbola, according to the report, told the police that he cut power to the Nigeria Jaga Jaga crooner’s apartment at Valley View Estate, Ikeja after his unpaid bills accumulated to N535, 000.

He said the singer was incensed by his action and beat him, adding that Eidris was in the habit of owing house rent and exhibiting anti-social behaviour.

In his defence, the 46-year-old musician alleged that Abimbola was a sexual predator and a covetous landlord who has a history of chasing tenants’ wives and tried same with his own wife, the paper quoted him as saying.
