The Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Dr. Maikanti Kacalla Baru, on Tuesday, urged motorists to refrain from panic buying saying there was no need for it.

Baru made this call from London where he was billed to receive the Forbes Oil & Gas Man of the Year Award 2017 on Tuesday but returned to the country due to sudden fuel queues nationwide.
The NNPC boss while speaking before he left London advised motorists against panic buying saying the corporation was on top of the situation.
He said, “For the umpteenth time, I wish to call on all Nigerians to stop panic buying. We have said times without number that NNPC has sufficient products to cater for the needs of all consumers.”
