The suspects are being prosecuted for libel over allegation that they are behind a publication in which Oba Adeyemi is said to mastermind criminal activities such as ritual killings, and planting bombs in Oyo town.
The prosecuting counsel, Mr. J.I. Ebusereme, preferred four-count charge of conspiracy, misdemeanour, defamation and attempted breach of peace against the trio.
The first count alleged that the defendants and others now at large on January 31, 2016 in a national daily committed an act of conspiracy, demeanour with and defamation of character. The defendants in the third count, were accused of committing demeanour capable of breaching public peace.
However, the accused pleaded not guilty to all the charges preferred against them, and were admitted to bail by Justice Bayo Taiwo, on self-recognition.
The matter was adjourned to August 30 for hearing.
