Sources said the imminent prosecution will follow months of investigation of the suspects by security agencies during which they unraveled crimes bordering on certificate forgery.

Investigation was said to have revealed that Hon. Akanni and eight others (names undisclosed) forged their educational qualification to build their political and business careers.

It was said that they all forged their O-level certificates, and some of them parade fake Diplomas.

“Following several petitions from groups, individuals, including PDP members in Ekiti State, accusing several members of the Ekiti State House of Assembly of certificate forgery, investigations have been concluded and nine members of the House were found guilty as accused.

“Preparation is in top gear to prosecute them. They will face criminal charges for forging their educational qualification,” intelligence source said.
