Mr. Taylor(second right) whose son, Damilola was 10 years old when he was killed, told Daily Mail that he first met Adebowale when he was 10 years old after being asked by his mother to help him.
He said Adebowale was being bullied ‘just like Damilola’ and that he tried to help him ‘many times’ through his charity.
‘I talked to him many times. The last time was about a month before the Woolwich attack. He told me he had become a Muslim and was doing well.
‘But his mother said there were still serious problems. I told her to call the police,’ Mr. Taylor told the paper.
Adebowale was jailed alongside Michael Adebolajo, 32, for murdering Mr Rigby with a meat cleaver and knives near the Royal Artillery Barracks in Woolwich, south east London, in May 2013.
