Couple steal neighbour’s baby, sibling in Ondo

A couple have stolen their neighbour’s children; a six-month-old boy, Ayomide Olamilekan, and his two-year-old sister, Blessing, in Owo, Ondo State.

The couple and their victim, Mrs. Abimbola Alabi, and her husband, were cotenants at Okedogbon area of the town,  and the former occupied a room, Vanguard reports.

The paper said the abductors were new tenants in the building, and had warmed themselves into the heart of Mrs. Alabi and her children.

On January 30, according to the report, while she was busy doing house chores with Ayomide strapped to her back, the couple offered to look after the children for her, a request she obliged.

It said since then, the couple vamoosed into the thin air with the children and all efforts to trace them had been met with brickwall.

Police source told the publication that the search was unsuccessful owing to lack of information about the couple suggesting they used false identities to rent the one-room apartment.
