South Africa has spoken of its efforts to control the activities of religious bodies that exploit worshippers.
The country ‘s Religious Rights Commission, according to Al Jazeera, says it is making plan to stop what it calls the commercialisation of religion and other dangerous practices,
The report said plan was under way by the commission to regulate all places of worship.
It added that another commission, the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Cultural, Religious and Linguistic Communities says vulnerable people are being taken advantage of by being promised blessings, for a price.
According to the report, all religious leaders are to be registered to stop what it describes as the commercialisation of religion and other dangerous practices.
