Bayelsa Board of Internal Revenue Chairman’s son, girlfriend burnt to death

The Bayelsa State Chairman of Board of Internal Revenue, Hon. Nimbofa Ayawe, on Saturday lost his son and the deceased’s girlfriend in house inferno.

The deceased persons name unknown as at the time of publication were burnt to death in an early morning fire that razed down their home along Okutukutu area of Yenagoa Local Government Area of the State.

The fire, which report said broke out around 4.00am was said to have been caused by an electrical fault and spread through the building.

It was said that two other occupants of the apartment escaped death. They reportedly jumped out of the apartment through the window.

Sources said the remains of Hon. Ayawe’s son and that of his girlfriend have been deposited at morgue of the Federal Medical Centre, in Yenagoa.
