BATTLE BREWS INSIDE GRAIL MOVEMENT

There’s a battle brewing inside the Grail Movement in Nigeria that has torn families apart and factionalized the spiritual movement.

A member who had been with the movement since inception in Nigeria, Emmanuel Ibe, recently fell out with the hierarchy after he accused the leadership of misrepresentation.

Brought into the fold by the founder in Nigeria, Spiritual Leader, late Chief Adeyemi Lawson about 50 years ago, three years back Ibe was honoured with the Long Serving Award and during the conferment, he was given a brand new Kia SUV.

Then the movement was led by the immediate past Spiritual Leader, Senator Victor Kassim Oyofo(pictured)oyofo. Ibe was Senator Oyofo’s Personal Assistant, and Head of Administration.

But Ibe got into trouble with the leadership after he went around telling members that the Nigerian version of the movement’s holy book, In the Light of Truth, misrepresented the original copy.

Inspired by the works of a German, Oskar Ernst Bernhardt, and popular in Western Europe, primarily Germany and France, the original copy of In the Light of Truth is written in German.

The movement’s leadership in Nigeria translated the spiritual book from German to English, an effort Ibe claimed was poorly researched and fraught with errors.

“He was fond of sharing his latest view with members of the movement despite being warned by the leadership and was ejected from the flat he occupied at the movement’s estate, Grailland at Iju-Ishaga,” sources said.

OrijoReporter gathered that Ibe’s wife who heads the clinic at Grailland does not share his husband’s view about the spiritual book . It was said that alongside her children, they refused joining him in the crusade and did not move out with him.

It was further gathered that Ibe was not without converts and preparations are underway to begin his own Grail Movement in Nigeria.

When our correspondent spoke with the incumbent spiritual leader, Segun Ajalekoko, he denied report that there is faction in Grail Movement adding that Emmanuel Ibe left the movement voluntarily.
