In the demolition notice, the grace government granted owner of the building elapsed today(Thursday) according to Punch.

The paper alluded that there are insinuations that the planned demolition may not be unconnected to the radio station’s criticism of the state government over the years.

It said, attempt by the government in the past to demolish the building was shelved after Gov. Abiola Ajimobi met with Ayefele to iron out allegation that the station was attacking his government.

“He also clearly stated on that show that words had reached him that he should not allow the building to stand because Dr Yinka Ayefele was not a friend of his administration but he told them that someone who is not a friend today could (be) one tomorrow.

“Between then and now, what has changed? No new road being constructed or a road expansion being executed. But the relationship between Fresh FM and the state government has been anything but cordial,” the publication quoted a source privy to hush official information about the situation.
