Abdulmumin Abiola, son of acclaimed winner of the June 12 1993 presidential election, late MKO, has tossed his hat into the ring for the National Youth Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
The national convention of the ruling party is scheduled to hold on Saturday in Abuja, an event Abdulmumin said he was a candidate contesting for the office of the party youth leader.
He stated this in Lagos on Wednesday saying he is a perfect fit for the job.
According to him: “I have been working hard to bridge the gap among youths of the country for them to contribute their quota to Nigeria’s development.
“And I want to make it clear that I did not join the race for the youth leader of the APC due to the recent recognition of my late father by President Muhammadu Buhari; I want to make my own mark and I have consulted widely.”
Abdulmumin while speaking, said since he returned to Nigeria in 2007, he had always been preoccupied with the thought of getting involved in all acts capable of moving the country forward adding that the nation was tall on promise but short on delivery.
