Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) President, Amaju Pinnick, and Chris Giwa, who is laying claim to the office currently occupied by the former fight dirty in the presence of the Minister of Youth and Sports, Barr. Solomon Dalung.
Reports say the fight happened on Wednesday at the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports secretariat, Abuja, during a reconciliation meeting brokered by the minister, Barr. Solomon Dalung
Pinnick and Giwa exchanged words and then things quickly escalated and they got into a brawl(fight scene pictured).
It would be recalled that Chris Giwa led-board was elected on the 26th of August 2014 and were sworn in, but on the 30th day of September 2014, the election that produced Pinnick led-board overturned it.
Giwa who was disgruntled sought for redress at a Jos High Court, the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) and later FIFA.
He later withdrew his case before the Jos High Court, and lost that of CAS and FIFA. Consequently, the Confederation of African Football(CAF) and FIFA recognised the Amaju Pinnick-led board
The peace meeting between Amaju Pinnick and Chris Giwa at Dalung’s behest despite the resolution of the dispute by sports and football governing bodies, has raised suspicion among football enthusiasts that the sports minister is fighting for Giwa, his kinsman as both hail from Plateau State.
