Alleged wife killer charged with murder as pathologist denies rumoured autopsy report

Alleged wife killer, Lekan Shonde, has been charged with murder after autopsy report is said to indict him.

“The autopsy report has revealed that Lekan Shonde, alleged killer of his wife, Ronke, has a case to answer. He will be charged for murder,” Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Dolapo Badmos told newsmen.

Badmus said the father-of-two, who allegedly killed his wife, Ronke Shonde at Egbeda area of Lagos State on May 6, 2016 would be charged to court on Friday (today).

“Pastor contributed to my sister’s killing by husband”

Meanwhile, the Head of Department of Pathology and Forensic medicine, Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Dr. SS Soyemi, has rubbished the autopsy report that dominated the media, which claimed the deceased died of respiratory seizure.

“I am a civil servant and not permitted to speak to you. But we are embarrassed on what we read. The reports are baseless and mischievous.

“There is nothing like respiratory seizure or water in the head. If this interpretation is true, then it means she died of convulsion. Respiratory seizure in medical terms refers to convulsion.

“That is not what we forwarded to the coroner, the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) and the Lagos Police Command,” Dr. Soyemi said.
