Alhaji Bature, the former SMEDAN boss, was at the government house on solidarity visit, after his recent defection to the APC, along with his supporters, from the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.

Trouble started when Shittu, made rude remarks about Bature, which enraged the defector’s supporters.

“I cannot say I know you very well but I know you were in PDP and you campaigned against us, when we were in the struggle.

“I hope you have not come here to deceive us and then go away,” Shittu said.

The remark angered Bature’s supporters and they became unruly, moving towards the direction of Shittu and were about beating him up when security operatives intervened and whisked him out of the Government House.
