A 21-year-old lady, Adaugona Esu, has landed in police net and about to face prosecution in Lagos after her vile action culminated into the death of her boyfriend, Wilson Henry.
Esu, a hair stylist, until the incident leading to her arrest, lived in a self-contain apartment at Origa Street in Ajagbandi area of Lagos State.
According to a neighbour of hers’ account, the suspect and one Eno were live-in-lovers in the same apartment in the penthouse of a two-storey building until sometime in July 2017 when the latter traveled abroad.
Wilson, who succeeded Eno was said to visit the house intermittently and sometime passed the night there. However, tragedy struck on July 13, 2018, when his death was allegedly caused by Esu in a fight over phone, a claim the latter denied.
According to the police, Wilson had taken Eno’s phone to confirm his suspicion that she was in another relationship and in the battle to wrench her phone from her, they dragged themselves near the window.
She allegedly pushed him through the window and he landed on the fence of the building before resting on the septic tank.
Three days later, Wilson who was said to be a graduate of civil engineering from University of Benin died at Lagos State University Teaching Hospital , LASUTH in Ikeja where he was rushed to from a private hospital.
The suspect however, denied the murder or manslaughter charge claiming the deceased deliberately jumped through the window.
