The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC, had dragged Kelekumor before a Delta High Court in Ozoro accusing him of employing Preye, who was not qualified and as then was in secondary school into the local government.

According to ICPC, his action was a violation of Justice Section 19 of the anti-graft Act, 2000. On Friday he was found guilty as charged by Justice Briki Okolosi who sentenced him to five years imprisonment without the option of fine.

The ICPC had in its charge stated that the convict employed his daughter in July 2003 while she was still a student of Tamigbe Grammar School in Toru-Tamigbe under Burutu Local Government Area of the state.
