According to Television Continental, TVC National Assembly correspondent, Joke Adisa, in her report during the station’s 7.00pm news, fifteen federal lawmakers and ten of their counterparts in the senate were said in hush discussions to have been hit by the pandemic.

It is believed that the senators rumoured to have contracted the disease are members of   the Committee on Petroleum Resources Downstream, Upstream and Gas Resources, who last week attended a seminar in the UK, another epicentre of the virus.

Recall that the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Abba Kyari alleged some federal lawmakers, who recently returned from one of coronavirus high risk countries of refusing to submit themselves to medical tests to determine their health status in a letter to the Speaker, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila.

Kyari himself has been reported to have the virus.
